When he tried to kidnap Kaya, one of the Kaya butler's shots him and tells the villagers to chase him. When Usopp was running towards the village, Zoro, Nami, Onion, Carrot, Pepper saw that only Usopp is ruuning not Luffy. So they went back to shore to search Luffy. Since he is Devil fruit guy so he escaped from the cliff drop. When all the 5 reached, they worried that he died but after hearing his snoring everyone was relaxed.
